A wetlands summer in photos

Highlights from the last couple of months.

I started Urban Nature Diary as a place to share my writing, my thoughts, and my visions of a world where people are much more in tune with nature than they currently are.

I’m not a professional photographer, but sometimes a photograph can paint an impression of a place much more clearly than my words ever could.

I’m fortunate to be spending a couple of weeks exploring Vietnam for my best friend’s wedding, so please excuse the radio silence recently. Usual service will resume next week, but until then, here are some images of the wetlands close to my home taken over the summer.

Birds, flowers and insects all around us, woven into a complex tapestry of natural wonder on the doorstep. I won’t ever be tired of it, and I hope I won’t ever take it for granted.
