Well said Thomas. The prospect of the new US administration and its criminally insane leader is bleak at best, but most likely to be alarming; the globally overriding motive of profit, fed by seemingly insatiable, indulgent greed is so powerful. Not what I'd imagined the future would look like from the 1960s/70s of my late teens when I'd embraced counter-culture and optimistically looked towards alternative technologies and the Whole Earth Catalogue for a better world. And now it's not the world where I'd hoped my grandchildren could thrive and flourish. But, for them and for all our children, we need to hope, and keep working on our local environment projects, keep opening people's eyes to the wonders we still have, and keep being kind, to people and planet.
So well written Thomas with such an important message.
A sobering and sensible write.

Absolutely, it’s more important to do that than ever before.
